Membership
Joining the alliance
Membership belongs to the company, not to a person. Here is exactly what the application asks for and what happens after you send it.
What the process looks like
-
Tell us about the company
Legal name, USDOT and MC numbers where you have them, fleet size, and the states you run. Five minutes, and you can save and come back.
-
Nominate a primary contact
One person who receives renewal notices and legal notice. You can add colleagues afterwards and change the contact at any time.
-
Read and accept the acknowledgements
The bylaws, the code of conduct, and the antitrust policy. These are short, and they are the ones that matter — nothing is pre-checked.
-
We review
A person checks the application against the eligibility rules for the class you applied to. Most are straightforward; if we need something we will say exactly what.
-
Pay after approval, not before
You are only asked for payment once the application is approved. Nothing is charged while it is under review.
-
Membership activates
On confirmed payment — not on returning from the payment page. You receive a permanent member number, a certificate, and access to the member area.
Dues are not final yet
The board has not set the dues schedule. Rather than publish a placeholder figure, we would rather tell you it is pending — and tell you the shape it will take: tiered by fleet size for carriers, and by revenue from trucking-related activity for allied and vendor members.
Ask us for the current draft and we will send it as it stands, marked as a draft.
Things worth knowing before you apply
- Membership renews automatically
- We send a reminder before it does, with the amount and the date. You can turn renewal off from the billing page in two clicks, without calling anyone.
- Your first term is prorated
- Joining in July does not mean paying a full year for half of one. The first invoice covers the months remaining in the membership year.
- Your directory listing is off by default
- You choose whether the company appears in the member directory, and who can see it. Membership verification works either way.
- We disclose what vendors pay us
- Where the association receives a rebate, commission or sponsorship from a vendor whose offer we publish, the offer page says so.
